On Location: Crissy Field Beach

My new favorite location is Crissy Field beach! Located on the eastern side of the Golden Gate Bridge, this beach has a huge swath of beautiful sand and is open to dogs off-leash.

To get the beach all to yourself and for the most beautiful golden light reflecting off the bridge, I recommend going before 8AM.

My models on a recent photo session were Jazzy & Ziggy, two Shih Tzus that are the best of friends. They love to chase each other around the sand.

Jazzy is quite athletic and I got some great action shots of her chasing balls.

Jazzy won’t go in the water, but Ziggy will run in especially through the shallow inlets. Ziggy loves to go in the water especially the shallow inlets.

There are many great spots for posing for a portrait like Jazzy here on a stone wall.
