On Location: Cesar Chavez Park, Berkeley

I’m always on the look out for good outdoor locations to take dog photos so I was super excited to have a session at Cesar Chavez Park in Berkeley recently.

My model for the day was Roger, an American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a lot of energy and a love of chasing balls.

Dogs are allowed off-leash in most of the park so it’s a great place to get action shots.

I love seeing East Bay hills in the background and the U.C. Berkeley bell tower known as The Campanile.

This park is famous for its annual kite festival and the wind can be strong making for some good ear-blowing-in-the-wind shots!

Just a short walk from Cesar Chavez Park is the Berkeley marina where you can get the Bay waters as your background.
